Dr. Cruciger is a board-certified ophthalmologist who recently joined us in 2019 after having been in practice in San Francisco for over 37 years. He offers comprehensive ophthalmological care.
Request a ConsultationIn addition to practicing ophthalmology, Dr. Cruciger has taught residents at both UCSF and CPMC. He has also published articles in ophthalmology and neurology journals. In addition to his professional life, Dr. Cruciger has been a board member of the following institutions: The Red Cross San Francisco Chapter, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco where he also chaired its Acquisitions Committee for three years.
Dr. Cruciger was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. His father’s occupation resulted in his living overseas in Africa, India and the Middle East. When not working, Dr. Cruciger enjoys swimming daily in San Francisco Bay, reading books and writing essays. He is an active member of numerous clubs in San Francisco. He is married to Quita V. Cruciger, M.D., a practicing dermatologist in San Francisco.
